A chain and sprocket kit replaces the whole final drive at once: front sprocket, rear sprocket and chain. That is how these parts are meant to be replaced, because they wear together, and a kit takes the guesswork out of matching pitch, tooth counts and chain length.
Converts the Yamaha MT-10 / FZ-10 (2024) to 520 chain and quicker gearing, 15 / 44 (stock 16 / 42)
| Bike | Years | Kit gearing (front / rear) |
|---|---|---|
| Yamaha MT-10 / FZ-10 | 2024 | 15 / 44 |
Stock is 16 / 42. This kit is one tooth smaller at the front and two larger at the rear: about 12% shorter overall gearing, so the bike pulls harder in every gear and tops out lower. A speedometer that reads from the gearbox or front sprocket will read fast. One down, two up is a common starting point, not the right answer for every bike or rider: ask us if you want a different setup.
Unless the listing says otherwise, a kit is built for stock gearing. Check the fitment list and tooth counts before ordering.
We highly recommend a rivet-type master link on any street bike. Fitting one takes a chain riveting tool, which you can buy from us in the shop or online, or we can install your chain and sprockets for you.
